The Legion are a recent arrival to the Galaxy.  It is not certain at this point, that The Legion are sentient.  Some have hypothesized them to be mindless automatons.  Others believe this to be incorrect, as it appears they worship a deity.  They worship a being they call "The Epoch Star", and make constant zealous references to it.  Their origin is unknown, and in recent months their numbers have exploded.  They currently threaten to overrun all Union space.
